The US-regulated cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced that it had finally completed all the necessary steps to move to the implementation phase of a project that makes crypto more accessible in Colombia. Certain Bancolombia customers will soon be able to buy cryptocurrencies more easily, thanks to a pilot project launching next week that will allow users to easily trade.

What is the benefit of Gemini’s partnership with Bancolombia?

Gemini and Bancolombia are business partners, who formed an alliance to participate in the operations allowed within the Colombian financial system. Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini will soon offer frictionless access to digital assets for select Bancolombia users.

Which Cryptocurrencies Will Be Available?

Starting 14 December, Bancolombia clients will be able to trade four crypto assets, namely BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH. The partnership is part of a year-long pilot program designed to explore the possibilities of cryptocurrency adoption in the region.
