The CEO of Kazakhstan's independent financial regulator AFSA said that granting Binance an in-principle approval will initiate a vibrant ecosystem of digital assets within the country.
The announcement from Binance informed that the license from Kazahstan’s watchdog will allow it to operate a “Digital Asset Trading Facility and Provider of Custody in the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).” The licences in question will enable Binance Kazakhstan to operate a virtual assets trading platform, deal in investments as a principal, and provide custody services. These licenses will permit Binance Kazakhstan to offer a comprehensive suite of digital asset services to users in a regulated environment, further solidifying its presence in the growing crypto market.
