NEW DELHI: Reports indicate that 34 countries have officially applied for BRICS membership. Although the 10 new members and 10 partners were rumored to be announced in the upcoming BRICS Summit in Kazan, expectations are shifting. That being said, the BRICS alliance is likely to invite 5-8 nations to join the collective at the 2025 summit. Late last year, India’s officials disclosed the bloc’s agreement for another six-nation invitation in 2025.
