A 1 million milestone for Ethereum Name Service Domains has been reached! The demand for Ethereum Name Service domain names is surging, with registrations skyrocketing in recent months. On May 2nd, the blockchain-based naming protocol, known as ENS, surpassed the milestone of one million registered domains, a significant achievement in the Web3 space.

Statistics from Dune analytics reveal that the number of ENS registered domains surpassed 1,060,123. This rapid growth signals increasing adoption of ENS as a decentralized alternative to traditional DNS.

What's fueling this explosive growth? The sudden rise in the price of ENS began on April 26th, and this move coincided with a surge in the demand for 3- and 4-digit ENS domain names. Along with new registrations, secondary sales for ENS names on OpenSea reached a peak of 446 ETH, further highlighting the value and desirability of these digital identities.
