Huobi Global Halts Derivatives Trading in New Zealand
Cryptocurrency exchange giant Huobi Global has announced it will cease offering derivatives trading services to New Zealand customers. This significant shift means users in New Zealand will no longer have access to derivatives trading services, including coin-margined futures and swaps, Tether-margined contracts, options, and other related products.
According to the statement posted on the Huobi website, the derivatives trading will shut down starting August 23rd. On the same day, Huobi will no longer accept new registrations for derivatives accounts from New Zealand residents. This move by the Seychelles-based crypto exchange comes a few months after the company obtained regulatory approvals in the region.
